Ingredients

For the pops
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese softened
  • 1 package (16 oz) milk chocolate melting wafers
  • 24 lollipop sticks
For decorating
  • 72 candy corn pieces
  • 48 candy eyes
  • 24 orange candy-coated chocolates mini
  • 1 tube (0.67 oz) red decorating icing

Equipment

  • 1 rimmed baking sheet
  • 1 food processor

Method

Make the pops
  1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Process the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs in a food processor.
  3. Add the cream cheese and pulse until the mixture is evenly combined.
  4. Scoop and roll the mixture into 24 balls, about 1 inch wide.
  5. Arrange the balls on the baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes, until firm.
  6. Melt the chocolate wafers in a deep microwave-safe measuring cup in 20-second bursts, stirring between bursts, until smooth.
  7. Dip about 1/2 inch of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate.
  8. Insert each stick halfway into a ball.
  9. Return the pops to the baking sheet and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Decorate the pops
  1. Dip each pop completely in the melted chocolate, letting excess drip back into the cup.
  2. Press 3 candy corn into the upper back of each pop for feathers.
  3. Place each pop on the parchment.
  4. While the coating is still soft, press 2 candy eyes and 1 orange candy onto the front of each pop to make the face and beak.
  5. Refrigerate the pops for 15 minutes, until the coating is set.
  6. Pipe a small red icing wattle beside each beak.

Notes

For neat dipping, let excess chocolate drip back into the cup before adding the candy decorations. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days; these pops can be frozen. For a dairy-free variation, use dairy-free cream cheese and dairy-free melting wafers.
