Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup blanco tequila
  • 0.25 cup triple sec
  • 0.5 cup lime juice fresh
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • 6 cups ice divided

Equipment

  • 1 pitcher
  • 1 cocktail shaker
  • 4 rocks glasses

Method

  1. Combine the apple cider, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave nectar in a pitcher; stir until the agave is incorporated.
  2. Fill four rocks glasses with 1 cup ice each.
  3. Add half the margarita mixture and 1 cup ice to a cocktail shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds, then strain evenly into two prepared glasses.
  5. Add the remaining mixture and 1 cup ice to the cocktail shaker.
  6. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds, then strain evenly into the remaining two prepared glasses.

Notes

For the best texture, shake each batch vigorously just before serving. Refrigerate the un-iced mixture for up to 2 days; freezing is not recommended. For a lower-sugar version, reduce the agave nectar to taste.
