Ingredients

Cookie Crust
  • 16.5 oz refrigerated sugar cookie dough
Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Fruit Topping
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 cup strawberries, sliced

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Bake the cookie crust
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Press the refrigerated sugar cookie dough evenly into a greased 12x16-inch baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden, watching the edges for color.
  4. Cool the crust completely so the frosting won’t melt.
Make the cheesecake frosting
  1. Beat the cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract and beat until fluffy, stopping to scrape the sides as needed.
  3. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled cookie crust.
Assemble the flag pattern
  1. Arrange blueberries in the upper left corner to create the flag stars section.
  2. Create red stripes using rows of sliced strawberries.
  3. Leave frosting visible between strawberry rows to form white stripes.
Chill and serve
  1. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before slicing and serving so the topping sets cleanly.

Notes

For clean slices, make sure the cookie crust is completely cool before frosting, and chill long enough for the frosting to firm up. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended because the fruit texture changes. For a lighter option, use reduced-fat cream cheese in the frosting.
